Friends of the London Public Library is a volunteer organization that provides community support for our library system in London, Ontario. The Friends’ mandate is to advocate on behalf of the Library and to raise funds to provide value-added enhancements to Library programs and services. Registered Charitable # 89347 2886 RR0001.
Since its inception in 1993 Friends has raised more than 1.5 million dollars; funding that provides value-added enhancements to the Library’s programs and services.
We raise funds through:
- The Library Store
- The Annual Book Sale
- Memberships and donations
- Special events
Friends also assists with the Library’s efforts to provide A Book for Every ChildĀ®.
Friends of the London Public Library rely on the efforts of the Executive Board to help coordinate all the work carried out by its many volunteers. Their term runs for one year, from January to December. Members may vote for the Executive Board members at the Annual General Meeting.
